This week...

...We harvested a bumper crop of pink fir apple potatoes...

...Talked about my favourite cookbook on Siobhan's lovely new blog here then splurged on this one ...

...Planted 30 saffron crocus bulbs...

...Had a visit from my neighbour's adorable miniature black pigs...quite accomplished escape artists....

...Then had a vist from man who installs these (squee!)...

...Picked our first tomato, hooray! just the one, but it's a start...

A very busy and exciting week here.  Hope your week was a good one too.

  3. I love Monty Don - he used to write beautiful gardening columns for The Observer, my fave UK Sunday paper (same as Nigel...)and he once wrote a great article about how gardening nurtured him through a depression following bankruptcy in the 1980s, when his and Sarah's jewellery business went bust. Look at them now.....
Very exciting about the Rayburn!! xx

  4. Oh those piggies are beautiful, plus how exciting about your stove, that will be amazing, especially over winter. I hope your tomatoes come along, mine have done surprisingly well considering my black thumb.
